For many decades we have had a problem with the availability of transplant organs. Unfortunately, there are more people in need of transplants than transplants available. Luckily we are on the verge of a very successful technological innovation that will "produce" and "build" organs from a computer with real, live cells and organs. 3D Organ Printing also known as tissue engineering promises to solve the organ transplantation problem. But, something as complex as this has to be tested multiple times and is sure to fail a few so the precautions behind this process are high. It has yet to be a definite solution for organ transplantation but as technology and research continue to improve the low numbers of available organs will no longer be a problem.
